Collections: Dead Wood Collection: Bringing life to dead wood

“Dead wood is the term I use for wood that has naturally died – either because of age or because of wild game braking off branches as they play or in their search for food. I integrate the roughness of the wood in my bangles and necklaces by leaving some of the bark on and also cut the pieces in such a way that the different wood colors come to the surface and create a contrast.” I never cut of any living wood to create my “Dead Wood” items. Kenya’s nature is so beautiful and precious and it’s important to take care of it in a world where trees are being cut down systematically and our forests are decreasing in size on a daily basis. I find the dead wood in my home in the bush.”
